  my family is in a nascent period of adapting to our child's .

  revelation that he is an ftm transgendered person...... above all else he is still just a person...... it is a scary reality that the majority of the world.

  This does break my heart Chickpea!! I think most people react the way they do b/c they don't know enough about it, they dont' have enough education on the matter therefore they may act out in an undesireable way. Let us help by spreading the word. No one deserves to feel this way!

  Does anyone remember the big 6 month Bible study push during the mid 1990s?

  i was a regular pioneer for a while during the mid 90s, about a year or two after the knowledge book replaced the live forever book as the primary bible study manual.

  around that time the society began to spew a bunch of b.s.

  about the end being so near (hadn't heard that one before) and how there were waiting lists for bible studies in many former soviet countries.

  I do remember that push!! I had forgotten until now. I think it was to get everyone more actively involved b/c the end was right around the corner. Excited and rejuvinated about the end coming. That is one very looonnnggg corner...

  Have any of you heard about "The Cleavage Talk?" C'mon!!

  supposedly about the same time as the bethel visitor's dress code brochure, talks were being given in kh concerning women showing cleavage.. i don't know.

  i haven't heard any of these talks myself, but my folks tell me they have.

  they also told me about the talks given in other congregations (reported to them by their friends).. i guess some cos, pos, etc.

  Wife Angry! Witnesses only call around to "count time" never casual calls??

  on the weekend 2 sets of witnesses called on us during witnessing {we are both in-active now}....what's going on i thought!!

  ......c.o visit with a theme of "encouraging those weak in the faith.

  " so, witnesses start calling after a year and a half, but only offical like during witnessing time....mistake number two, they "placed" 17 watchtowers with my wife.....mistake three, a sister said she was "concerned" about my wife like she was mental or something!

  I know my mom and brother used to count time when they gave me a book or mags...gag. Also, if they brought me (when I was considered inactive) or a bible study to the meetings, they counted their time.
